2019 Aristocrat Red Wine

The Aristocrat Red Wine from Buena Vista Winery celebrates and honors Buena Vistas founder, Count Agoston Haraszthy, and the pioneering role he played in creating the California wine world. The Aristocrat, true to his legend, is a noble wine with a regal shield adorning the bottle bearing the Haraszthy family crest.

The Count of Buena Vista, Agoston Haraszthy, was a vivacious pioneer whose love affair with grape-growing started in his homeland of Hungary. Surrounded by tales of intrigue and political exile, the Count emigrated from Europe in 1840 in pursuit of opportunity and freedom in the burgeoning American West. He ultimately settled in Sonoma where he founded Buena Vista Winery in 1857.

This 2019 The Aristocrat opens with beautiful aromas of crème de cassis , ripe black cherry, licorice and a hint of violet. Full-bodied with an impressive texture, juicy blueberry, plum and blackberry flavors are enhanced by earthy notes and vanilla. This big red wine envelops sweet, fine tannins and a persistent finish.

The Aristocrat is a red wine whose grapes were harvested primarily from vineyards in Napa Valleys Calistoga AVA. It unites Valdigue, Charbono, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon in a harmonious, elegant blend.
