The Aristocrat is a Red Wine harvested from vineyards in Napa Valley Calistoga AVA. The blend of Valdiguie, picked from a pre-prohibition vines just off of Picket Road at the base of the Vaca Mountains, Charbono from one of the last remaining Charbono vineyards in Napa Valley and Petite Sirah was aged in separate lots for 21 months in 100% French oak, 0% new. The wine was then racked, blended and lightly fined before bottling. The wine is well structured with integrated tannins and a long, smooth finish.
Our 2014 Aristocrat Red Wine opens with dark, enticing aromas of black cherry and blueberry with hints of violet. Rich flavors of plum and cassis are complemented by a touch of star anise and baking chocolate. The bold flavors lead to well-integrated tannins, balanced structure and a long, smooth finish.
The 2014 Aristocrat Red Wine from Buena Vista Winery celebrates and honors Buena Vista’s founder, Count Agoston Haraszthy, and the pioneering role he played in creating the California wine world. The Aristocrat, true to his legend, is a noble wine with a regal shield adorning the bottle bearing the Haraszthy family crest.
