2020 Karoly's Selection Petite Sirah

The Buena Vista Vinicultural Society, formed in 1863 by the winery's founder, Count Agoston Haraszthy, to further improve its winemaking prowess and expand its vineyards, has been restored as a collection of unique small-production wines that honor the winery's pioneering spirit and contribution to California winemaking.

The Vinicultural Society explores clonal selections, varietals, and the incredible terroir of Sonoma County. In keeping with the adventurous spirit of Buena Vistas founding, we are proud to bring you this delicious Karoly's Selection Petite Sirah.

A deep garnet in the glass, rich fruit aromas embrace the nose accented by notes of ripe plum. Flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cocoa, and a touch of pepper delightfully layer the palate. This wine is full-bodied with intense and well-integrated tannins that command the wine with a lusty, savory finish.

Named for Count Haraszthys father who spent much of his adult life following his passion for wine - from cultivating vineyards to selling wine - Karolys Selection Petite Sirah celebrates this unique varietal hailing from Southern France. Typically used as a blending grape, this dark, intense berry has strong tannins and dark fruit flavors.
