2017 Karoly's Selection Petite Sirah

The Buena Vista Vinicultural Society, formed in 1863 by the winery's founder, Count Agoston Haraszthy to further improve its winemaking prowess and expand its vineyards, has been restored as a collection of unique small-production wines that honor the winery's pioneering spirit and contribution to California winemaking.

A striking deep purple in the glass, our 2017 Karolys Selection Petite Sirah bursts open with aromas of plum and black cherry complimented by notes of cedar and baking spices. On the palate, bold flavors of blackberries, raspberries and a hint of cola lead to a full body with rich tannins, well balanced acid and a satisfying, lingering finish.

Named for Count Haraszthys father who spent much of his adult life following his passion for wine - from cultivating vineyards to selling wine - Karolys Selection Petite Sirah celebrates this unique varietal hailing from Southern France. Typically used as a blending grape, this dark, intense berry has strong tannins and dark fruit flavors.
