The Vinicultural Society explores clonal selections, varietals, vineyards and the incredible terroir of Sonoma County. The Buena Vista Vinicultural Society honors our Sonoma County roots and contributes to California's great wine history with the Count's Selection French Colombard harvested from the Russian River Valley.Sold out.
Our 2014 French Colombard opens with distinguishing aromas of apple and lemon with a hint of wet stone. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, flavors of tangerine and Meyer lemon are accentuated with a slight touch of vanilla and culminate in a delightfully pleasing finish.
Harvested on September 30, these grapes come from a vineyard on the east side of Windsor in the Russian River Valley. The grapes were whole cluster pressed with native fermentation and the lees were stirred occasionally to lend creaminess to the mid palate. The wine was aged for 5 months in neutral French oak barrels.
