Our 2013 Natalia’s Selection Chardonnay displays beautiful golden straw color in the glass and offers alluringly bright aromas of Meyer lemon, baked apple and an accent of pear. This is a medium-bodied Chardonnay that coats the palate with flavors of creamy vanilla, pear and hazelnut and culminates in a round, smooth texture and a lengthy finish.
The Vinicultural Society wines explore the incredible terroir of Sonoma County. Named for the wife of the Count’s son Attila and the daughter of General Mariano Vallejo, Natalia’s selection Chardonnay is harvested from he Green Valley region of the Russian River Valley, where the warm summer days and cool nights of the region allowed the select blocks to be harvested the last week of September into the first two weeks of October based upon optimum ripeness and flavor maturity. The wine underwent Malolactic fermentation and was aged in 100% French oak, 35% new, for 14 months prior to bottling.
