In a resplendent shade of brilliant red, this medium-bodied Cabernet Franc exudes an inviting and refreshingly approachable demeanor. The nose is graced with the vivacious presence of ripe red fruits, where a subtle touch of chocolate, delicate violets, and the whimsical essence of blueberries intermingle, like a symphony of fragrances that tell a captivating story. On the palate, luscious and rich flavors unfurl in layers, with cassis taking the lead and a touch of violet adding an elegant twist, all culminating in a long and memorably resonant finish that lingers like a cherished melody.

2021 was a smooth and uneventful harvest season. June started out warm, followed by a cool and foggy July and August that slowed ripening and caused
nice retention of acidity. Even ripening, with no extreme heat events, made for ideal growing conditions. Sparse winter rains resulted in an early budbreak, evenly developed clusters, and smaller berries packed full of flavor. Overall,
the fruit was exceptional, making it another amazing year for quality.

The grapes for this Cabernet Franc, St. Helena were hand harvested on October 19 before being fermented in open top fermenters and aged in 51% new French oak barrels for 20 months before being bottled unfiltered.
