While Agoston Haraszthy was most recognized as being the Father of California viticulture, he was also the father of six illustrious children. His third son, Arpad, spent over two years in France learning the craft of sparkling wine and later became the first to introduce Méthode Traditionelle sparkling wine into California winemaking.
Arpads sparkling wine, Eclipse, was one of the most celebrated in the nineteenth century; we pay tribute to his legacy through this Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine of Chardonnay grapes.
Beautiful pale straw in color, this wine is racy in style with bright acidity and minerality and aromas of fresh green apple, citrus and white flowers. The palate is elegant, crisp and dry with a long mouthwatering finish.
